What are the benefits?

C13-15 Alkane aids in softening the skin by forming a thin, non-occlusive layer on the surface, which helps to reduce water loss from the skin, it contributes to skin hydration and can support the skin's natural barrier function and it is generally considered non-comedogenic, meaning it has a low likelihood of clogging pores, making it suitable for a wide range of skin types, including those prone to blemishes.​ ​
C13-15 Alkane is also used in hair care products as an alternative to silicones. It conditions and softens hair without feeling greasy, effectively reducing frizz and adding a glossy shine. By creating a thin, invisible layer on the hair shaft, it improves the hair's manageability and protects it from environmental stressors and heat styling.
